F.A.Q.s

How many photos will I get?

I never put a limit on images and I really value variety. Image as an aesthetic is subjective, so I want to make sure that you find something in your gallery you love. I only keep the keepers and I don’t make you choose your favorites.

What is your turnaround time?

During peak photo season, larger galleries can take several weeks. I NEVER rush the editing process, it’s just as important as the day-of shooting. I never outsource my editing and I take time and care with your images. Each and everyone is gone over with a fine tooth comb to make sure they are cohesive and up to par.

What if I/we’re really awkward?

I completely understand awkward. 100% right there with you. Taking photos is SO much more than images in a camera. It’s my #1 job to get my subjects to loosen up, play around, and yes, I’ve even been told people have had fun. For real. I will get you laughing, I swear it.

What’s your shooting style?

With a background in photojournalism I understand the weight of candid, unposed and natural moments. With a background as a human being I understand people need a little bit of direction, cheering on and encouragement.

What’s your editing style?

Each photographer has their own style and it’s important that you do your research! I don’t use filters. My colors are true-to-life and express a vibrancy that apparent in you day-to-day life. I’m all about sunshine and warmth rich natural tones.

How long have you been doing this?

I learned photography in my dark room in high school. It developed (see what I did there?) into a photojournalism degree that took me to Australia to study film and digital photography. I shadowed under some of the top photographers in my area and shot my first solo wedding in 2012. When I was 7 months pregnant with my second kid, I quit my full time job to try to make a go of this. My partner urged me to jump in with both feet, saying that “if you don’t have something comfortable to fall back on, you’ll work 10x harder at this.” That baby in my belly is now 6 years old and I am perpetually grateful for each inquiry that let’s me do what I absolutely love.
